Analysis of the water balance will be made for a set of pre-defined precipitation events or design storms of one day duration, as prescribed for the city in DEP (2006) and MOEC (2010; Chapter 13), using typical conditions specified on a monthly average basis and varying by climate scenario. The magnitude of the precipitation events and the temperatures associated with them varies by the user selected climate scenario. Each precipitation event will describe an average precipitation intensity and duration. Snowfall is not treated. Note that metrics of the water balance can be expressed either as water depths (i.e. inches or millimeters) over a given area, or in volume units (e.g. gallons, liters).
